2010 4 Cylinder Farley Flyer's Rules
Farley / West Liberty / Dubuque Speedway
All cars are to be 4 cylinder, front wheel drive. Engine must match year, make and model of car in competition.
All cars should be neat appearing.
No glass, all plastic and trim must be removed. NO Mirrors.
Pump gas only, No additives, No dyed fuels.
Fuel system will be inspected. Master shut-off switch for electric fuel pump mandatory, must also be brightly marked.
Roll cage must be a 4-point minimum, mounted in a safe manner, with an X or approved cross brace in the rear. Must also have a cross bar in front. (3) door bars on the left and (2) on the right side are to be mounted securely to roll cage. There must be a bar mounted to the roll cage behind the seat. Again, aluminum racing seats are highly recommended.Doors must be securely fastened shut. NO Rub rails mounted outside of car. Two hooks front & rear 3/8" cable minimum, Rule Will Be Enforced.
Safety, Seat Belts, Seats, Helmets. All cars will be required to be equipped with a minimum 5-point harness. All belts will be required to be mounted to the frames of the car or to the roll cage. Helmets must be of full-face shield type and are subject to inspection. All helmets must be rated Snell 2000 or newer. Motorcycle and DOT rated helmetls are not allowed. All cars will be required to use a full size window net in the drivers window at all times. Fire resistant shoes & gloves recommended. Fire resistant driver’s suit required.
Windshield must have protective screen for driver’s side. ¼” screen mesh with a minimum (4) ½ “bars behind mesh.
No engine modifications allowed; no Turbo's, supercharged, or ratary engines. Maximum 225 llbs. compression. Maximum 93 octane gas only. No aftermarket or performance enhancing parts allowed, except for exhaust header. Aftermarket air filter allowed, but with no air funneling devices. Exhaust must extend past the driver and point toward the ground. Must have medal fire wall between driver and fuel tank. Any overflow tubes must be directed to the ground, inside frame rails. Unaltered OEM OBD terminal must be intact and operational, may be relocated. Intake manifold vacuum and cranking cylinder pressures must remain within stock specifications.
No locked or welded drive axles.
Battery must be securely bolted in position and if in the driver's compartment must be in a marine type box securely fastened with a minimum 1" by 1/8" thick strap over battery.
Car must run only 13,14,15,16, inch size tires/wheel and must be the same left to right. May run different front to rear. Maximum 7" wide wheel will be allowed with minimum 1" lugnuts. Maximum width of 215 (example: P215/70R16) No H, U,V,W,Y, or Z speed rated tires allowed. No mud and snow tires allowed. No softening of tires allowed. no siping, grooving, or grinding of tires allowed. Tire size must be clearly marked so that it can be easily found and read. No bead lock or mud plugs allowed. No aftermarket suspension parts allowed. Brace allowed between strut towers, front and rear. May use spring rubbers and must be securely fastened.
No Lead Ballast.
Car number must be on the front of the car 6" minimum.
Officials may remove any component from vehicle for further inspection at any time.
Traction Control--No traction control devices allowed.
POINTS: Points will be awarded to the driver. We want fans to know who is driving the car...so report any driver changes to the judges. NO changing of drivers once the racing program ha started.
EVENT POLICIES: Any member, competitor, or crew member, who assaults or threatens verbally, or physically to do bodily harm to any track or supervisory official or persons serving under his/her direction: a minimum fine of $250.00, suspension, and/or loss of championship points. Any member, competitor, or crew member, while participating in an event, partakes of an alcoholic beverage, stimulant, depressant, tranquilizer or other drug or is otherwise under the influence of alcohol or drugs: disqualification, a minimum fine of $500.00, and suspension. Feature Win: Last weeks feature event winner will start last on the field at their next attended event, but will start ahead of cars not attending last weeks event or any or all new cars for that night. Mid Season and Season Championship will be lined up by total season points inverted. 28 or more cars, we will run 2 feature events.
