August 5, 2005
The Palace of Speed hosted some exciting action in feature competition at Ride Your Harley to Farley Night at the races on Friday Night. The fans were treat to great weather and racing action with lots of passing in all divisions on the multi-grooved 1/2 mile track.

Gary Crawford jumped out into the early lead in the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Late Model feature on lap 1. 2000 National Champion Gary Webb gave chase to Crawford as well as Jeremiah Hurst, and Ronnie Barker. On lap 6, Webb would chase down Crawford and work Crawford for the next 19 circuits with Ace Ihm & Steve Boley battling for the 3rd spot. Webb would challenge for the lead in turn 4 for the last 2 circuits but Crawford was able to hold his line & go on to claim his 1st feature win in the Late Model Division at the Farley Speedway this year. This makes it four decades of winning features for the Independence driver & future Hall of Famer. Webb would settle for 2nd, Ihm was able to claim 3rd with current point leader Steve Boley(starting 10th) 4th and Ronnie Barker 5th.

Mike Burbridge shot to the early lead in the Modified Feature from his outside front row starting position. Current point leader Mark Shulte worked his way up from his 7th starting position to settle in the 2nd spot on lap 8 making the pass on Steve Johnson. Hard-harging Schulte would catch Burbridge on lap 11 as the "Delhi Duel" would take place the next 9 laps. Schulte would make the pass on lap 16 & Burbridge would battle back but Schulte was able to hold off to take yet another exciting victory. Burbridge would settle for 2nd, Steve Johnson was 3rd, Darren Walch was 4th and Jason Schueller was 5th.

First year driver Justin Mitchell continues to impressive people in the Pro Stock division. Jeff Reinhert took the lead early but Mitchell would slowly pick cars off 1 by 1 to take over the point on lap 9 and never looked back as he used the low line to score the win. Jeff Valentine gave chase and wound up 2nd, Jim Brockus was 3rd, Ken Martelle 4th and Jeff Reinert rounds out the top 5.

In the Stock Car Division, it was "Big Ed" night as Ed McIntyre takes the win in the Stock Car Division. McIntyre took the lead on the low line from current points leader Luke Goedert on white flag lap & held off Goedert to the checkers. Goedert ended up 2nd, Jerry Merkes 3rd, Jarvis Eastlick 4th, and John Poll 5th.

Kenny Boyes took the lead from the pole position in the B-Mod division & lead for the first 4 circuits but Jacob Seegmiller took the lead on low side. Seegmiller would march on to take the win after starting 5th ahead of Jeremy English. Jed Friedburger was 3rd, Kenny Boyes 4th and Damien Miller round out the top 5.

The Limited Stock division saw Ryan Federman from Mineral Point, WI make it a memorable night his first time at Farley after starting dead last as he takes the checkers. Kelly Welter was 2nd and Denny Udelhofen was 3rd.

The Farley Flyer 4 cyl division was a fast and furious race with Jenna Barthelmes leading it flag to flag with Danny Kennedy pressuring the entire race.
