|
June 10, 2005
Boley rockets to Late Model Feature Win, Schulte continues hot streak in Mods.
Week 4 of the Dodge NASCAR Weekly Racing Series got in the books under threatening skies. Rain showers could not slow down the program as all 7 classes got there features in before 10:15.
Steve Boley rocketed from his 8th place starting position to take the lead away from early race leaders Layne Meyers and Mark Curwen. Boley grabbed the lead on lap 6 and drove to an impressive win with his Mastersbilt Spec Engine Late Model. A few cautions would bunch the field behind Boley, but the former Midwest Region Champion easily pulled away from the field. Current Points leader Jeff Aikey finished 2nd holding off Jeremiah Hurst who settled for 3rd, Gary Webb 4th, and Ace Ihm rounds out the top 5.
Mark Schulte has found the right set-up for his NASCAR Modified. The Delhi Native continues to pick-up impressive Modified feature wins. Schulte, who started 10th in the feature cruised to the feature win giving him his 2nd win this year at Farley and 4th of the season overall. Prior to this season, Schulte has always been a constant top 5 but this year looks to be his best yet. Jason Schueller finished 2nd with Scott Nesteby, Steve Johnson, and Shawn Rupp rounding out the top 5.
Bob Bolan moved into the Pro Stock division for the 2005 season and picks up his first feature win of the year. Bolan grabbed the lead from Levi Benn about halfway thru the feature and takes home the victory. Benn settles for 2nd with Jeff Valentine in 3rd, Joel Callahan 4th, and Justin Mitchell 5th.
The Stock Car Division saw Jason Rauen grab the lead early on and went on to win the feature event. Luke Goedert gave chase to Rauen, but settled for 2nd, Ed McIntrye finished 3rd.
Jacob Seegmiller used the high line to pass race leader Jeremy English just passed halfway in the B-Mod feature. English finished 2nd with Kenny Boyes 3rd.
Limited stocks saw Kelly Welter take the win. Dustin Wilwert takes his first feature win in the Farley Flyers. Wilwert cruised to an impressive win by over a straightaway ahead of Jeff Wills, John Flurry, Jenna Barthelmes, and Travis Nesteby rounded out the top 5.
