MOTHER NATURE FORCES DOUBLE FEATURES IN DUBUQUE

NASCAR WEEKLY RACING SERIES
DUBUQUE SPEEDWAY
June 17, 2001

Thunderstorms replaced racing engines at the Dubuque Speedway’s “Rumble by the River” on Sunday June 17th, ending the evenings action after the Fun Car feature event and forcing postponement of the four remaining features. Fans will be treated to double NASCAR Weekly Racing Series Late Model and Pro Stock feature events this week, June 24th with the Hobby Stock and Modified features postponed until July1st.

Russ Yonkovic took home the abbreviated Fun Car feature by leading every lap from the pole until the race was halted just past the halfway point. BJ Schmitt, Ray Fawcett, Todd Moore and Brad Strang rounded out the top five.
