A late afternoon thundershower soaked the West Liberty Raceway on Saturday August 18th, forcing cancellation of the evening's events and postponing Kid's Back to School Night until next Saturday August 25th.   With only two events left in the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series points battles, Denny Eckrich has the Late Model division locked up with his 202 point lead over Gary Webb but will be looking to add to his five feature wins in search of the NASCAR WRS Mid-America region battle.  Scott Megonigle has to be breathing a little easier with his 44 point Miller Time Modified lead over Darrall Brick, while Andy Eckrich enjoys a 56 marker advantage over Matt Gilchrist and Jeremy Thompson hangs on to a 20 point lead over Stan O'Brien.   

Racing action continues this Saturday August 25th with Kid's Back To School Night.
