Addendum To SPI Rules April 2, 2002

Hobby Stocks

In a never-ending attempt to improve safety, and due to a close call early this season, SPI is issuing an addendum to the rules:

Addendum 4/02

All Car must be equipped with a "floater" type rear-end housing.

This addendum shall be in effect starting June 14, 2002.

Modifieds

Due to the fact that we have several nonconforming bodies and in an effort to maintain the visual identity of the class, SPI finds it necessary to issue an addendum to the modified rules:

Addendum 4/02

A minimum distance of 59 inches and a maximum distance of 64 inches will be permitted between the outer edges of the quarter panels measured at the rear bumper height.

While the NASCAR 2002 rulebook, sec. 201-3.6, paragraph D, calls for the measurements to be 58 to 60 inches, SPI has decided to go with a wider measurement.

This addendum shall be in effect starting June 14, 2002.
