In addition the new Musco lighting system was put in place and utilized the first time early in July.  Additional VIP suites were constructed prior to the opening of the season. A new 80’ x 200’ ballroom will be utilized for the first time at the “Yankee”. The all purpose facility will host post race parties and breakfast will be served Friday and Saturday mornings during the “Yankee”.

The on track action will get underway on Wednesday, September 11th with three classes of cars in action. The Farley Flyers will run their complete show on Wednesday night; the Hobby Stocks will run their qualifying heats. The headliner of the opening night will be an all new race to the format this year. The IMCA VS NASCAR challenge race will bring together Late Model drivers from both sanctioning bodies under a set of rules designed to equalize the competition. The Late model drivers will compete in a 30 lap feature which will award the winner $1,500.

Thursday, September 12th action will include last chance races and the main event for the Hobby Stocks. The Pro Stocks will run their heats and consolation events. The IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series late Models will run a full program with the 50 lap feature headlining the program.
