Stars Late Models Headed To Farley Speedway --- 2 Big Events, Friday & Saturday, July 19 & 20, 2002
Keith Simmons of SPI is proud to announce that the Farley Speedway is going to be hosting a first time racing event in the state of Iowa. Friday & Saturday night July 19th and 20th the high banked ˝ mile dirt track Farley Speedway will host two complete shows featuring the Northern All Stars Late Models and the Renegade Dirt Car Racing Series. Both series are based in the Ohio-Pennsylvania area and will feature many of the United States best dirt track drivers from the Eastern part of the country.
Friday night the 19th of July the Northern All Stars Late Model Series will run a complete show with a 50 lap feature headlining the program with the winner collecting a $7,000 dollar paycheck. Saturday the 20th the Renegade Dirt Car Series will run a full show with a 75 lap feature capping the night with a $10,000 paycheck awaiting the winner. Both nights, the action will get underway at 7 p.m.
Keith Simmons of SPI stated “we are very excited about bringing the “Stars” series to Farley, our great fans are going to get to see many of the nation’s top drivers that have never raced in this area before.” Drivers expected to compete in these two day races are Mike Balzano of West Virginia, Pennsylvania drivers Chub Frank, Davey Johnson, Rob Blair and Jim Bernheisel, Ohio drivers Steve Hillard, Rick Aukland John Mason, Rod Conley and R.J. Conley. Other top notch drivers who are possible entries for this two day event are Billy Moyer Jr. of Arkansas formerly from Des Moines, Iowa and Scott Bloomquist of Tennessee. These traveling stars will have their hands full as they battle it out with the best of the Midwest like, Ray Guss Jr., Gary Webb, Steve Boley, Darren Miller, Brian Birkhofer, Bob Pierce, the Kosiski brothers, the Eckrich brothers, Shannon Babb, Kevin Weaver, Johnny and Jay Johnson and many more. Plenty of camping area is available at the Farley Speedway; two day tickets can be purchased offering a substantial savings.
