Furman Scores NASCAR Late Model Win At West Liberty

West Liberty, Iowa: Saturday, August 2nd the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series took to the fast ˝ mile clay West Liberty Raceway. When the final checkered flag of the night flew it was Matt Furman, Mitch Way, Chad Simpson and Dave Wada claiming NASCAR feature wins.

The 25 lap Iowa Illinois Taylor Insulation Late Model 25 lap feature took the green with Kevin Kile setting the pace early. Kile was overtaken by Kurt Stewart on lap number 5 and Stewart went on to lead until lap number 15 when Matt Furman was able to move out front. Furman went on to record the feature win over a strong finishing Steve Boley. Stewart held on to take third ahead of Jason Utter and Ryan Dolan.

The NASCAR Miller Time Modified feature was paced the first 15 circuits by Brett Frieden. The green team racer of Frieden was overtaken by Mitch Way, who went on to record the 20 lap feature win. Frieden followed Way across the finish line ahead of Terry Lawson and Todd Stoolman.

The Double D Performance NASCAR Pro Stock feature win went to Chad Simpson. Chad Simpson took the lead from Bruce Miller on lap number 8 and went on to record another feature win. John Maher turned in his best finish since his return to racing, taking second ahead of Troy Phillpott and Miller.
