West Liberty Raceway Sets 2003 Car Show & PracticeOfficials of Simmons Promotions have announced that the West Liberty Raceway will host an open practice and race car show on Saturday, March 29th. The Muscatine County Fairgrounds and Fairboard Association will host the car show. All drivers wishing to display their cars are asked to have their cars on display by 10 a.m. At approximately 12:30 the Fairboard will be presenting trophies to the car show winners. The race track will open for practice at 1 p.m. and will remain open till all drivers have received ample practice time. The West Liberty Raceway is located on the Muscatine County Fairgrounds on the east side of West Liberty, Iowa. The practice session will be open to the public with a free grandstand admission. Drivers and crew members entering the pit area will be charged a fee to cover insurance. An open practice will also be held at the Farley Speedway on Wednesday, April 16th times and more information on the Farley Speedway practice will be made available in the near future. The officials of SPI regret to announce that due to a large increase in liability insurance it has become necessary to increase the pit admissions for the weekly NASCAR racing events at all SPI events. Pit admissions for the West Liberty Raceway, Dubuque County Fairgrounds Speedway and the Farley Speedway will be increased to $18 for the 2003 season.
