Martin Scores NASCAR Late Model Win On Tri State Auto Auction Night At Farley Speedway; Mike Burbridge Tops Mod Feature

Farley, Iowa: Tri State Auto Auction hosted the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series racing action on Friday night July 23rd at the Farley Speedway. The action was fast and furious all night long.

When the checkered flag fell on the Iowa Illinois Taylor Insulation Late Model 25 lap feature it was Curt Martin making his way to victory lane. Martin started the main event inside of the sixth row and was able to use the bottom side of the track to make his way to the front. Martin took the lead on lap number 5 and went on to score the feature win over fellow hotshoes Jeff Aikey and Steve Boley.

A first time winner in the NASCAR Modified feature for the 2004 season was Mike Burbridge. Mike started the 25 lap feature on the pole and took command by working the high line of the speedway to perfection.  Burbridge took the win by out racing Scott Nesteby, Jason Schueller and Mark Schulte.

The NASCAR Pro Stock feature provided plenty of wheel to wheel racing action. Jimy Brokus took the lead from Jeff Valentine on lap number 6 and went on to score the 15 lap feature win. Bobby Moyer got by Valentine to take second, Valentine held on for third ahead of Jeff Kennedy and Jeff Reinert.

Duane “Nutsy” Ahmann emerged form a pack of drivers to take the lead following a restart late in the NASCAR hobby Stock feature and hold on for the win. Ahmann took the checkers ahead of Randy Benn and Jerry Merkes.

Mark Massey was involved in an incident early in the B-Modified feature but was able to recover and march back through the field to score the win. Massey took the win over Jacob Seegmiller and Luke Pestka.

Becky Roth scored her second feature win in a row at the Farley Speedway by topping a 20 car starting field. Roth took the lead from Joe Zrostlik early in the race and went on to score the win. Phil Holtz followed Roth across the line in second. Zrostlik finished the 10 lapper in third.

NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series action will continue on Friday, July 30th as SPI presents Illinois night at the races. All residents from the state of Illinois will be admitted free with proof of residency.
