11 Features Nets 10 Different Winners As Farley Speedway Holds Season Championships 

 

Farley, Iowa:  The NASCAR Weekly Racing Series Season Championship races were presented on Friday night sponsored by Greenwoods Grocery of Farley, Iowa. The night included the regularly scheduled season championship races plus 5 make-up features from the previous weeks rainout. The 11 feature races produced 10 different winners over the course of the night.

 

 The night started with the running of the five make-up features sponsored by EDSB and Drew Cook & Sons Excavating, which were kids back to school night.

 

 The Iowa Illinois Taylor Insulation NASCAR Late Models 25 lap feature saw Bobby Hansen make his second visit of the season to victory lane.  Hansen took the lead on lap number 12 and went on to score the victory ahead of Steve Boley and Josh McGowan.

 

 The NASCAR Modified make up feature saw Ron Barker score his 12^th win of the season at the Farley Speedway. Barker started 12^th and worked to the front taking the lead from Mark Schulte on lap number 7. Barker went on to record the win over Schulte, Scott Nesteby and Steve Wetter.

 

Bobby Moyer was able to score the win in the make-up NASCAR Pro Stock feature taking the win over his archrival Jimy Brokus. Jeff Kennedy crossed under the checkers in third.

 

 Jason Rauen emerged form a pack of contenders at mid-race in the NASCAR Hobby Stock feature. Rauen went on to score the win over Duane Ahmann and B.J. Schmitt.

 

 Becky Roth took the win in the make-up Farley Flyer feature taking the win ahead of John Flury and Phil Holtz.

 

 The Greenwoods Grocery Season Championship races included a 35-lap NASCAR Late Model feature.  Layne Meyer put the number 21X out front on lap number 5 and went on to lead the remainder of the season championship race for his first ever NASCAR Late Model Feature win at the Farley Speedway.  Meyer took the win over Steve Boley and Jeff Aikey.

 Mike Burbridge took the lead on the 7^th lap of the Season Championship Modified feature and went on to set sail on the high side taking the win ahead of Steve Dunkel and Ron Barker.

 

 The NASCAR Pro Stock season championship feature saw Jeff Reinert score his third win of the season in the very tough Pro Stock class. Reinert took the 15-lap win over Bobby Moyer and Steve Hunter.

 

 Jason Rauen completed a clean sweep by scoring the second NASCAR Hobby Stock feature. Rauen took the checkers in the season championship race ahead of Luke Goedert and Ed McIntyre.

 

  Mark Massey completed a very successful B-Modified season with the championship win and the track point title. Following the race Massey sold his car.

 

 Jacob Seegmiller ran second ahead of Jeremy English in the championship feature.

 

  John Flury took the season championship win in the Farley Flyer division. Becky Roth took second ahead of Brian Kammerude.

 

 In addition to the season championship races the drivers eligible for the 2 track point fund races raced their events. A total of $32,000 will be paid out to eligible drivers. Jeff Aikey won the Late Model 2 track point fund race over Darren Mish. The Modified race was won by Mark Schulte over Sean Rupp. The Pro Stock win went to Bobby Moyer over Jimy Brokus. Hobby Stock winner was Jason Rauen ahead of Jerry Merkes. Mark Massey took the B-Modified win ahead of Jacob Seegmiller. Joe Zrostlik took the Farley Flyer victory ahead of John Flury.
