27th Annual “Yankee Dirt Track Classic” Format Set; Fall Classic Will Run September 15th thru 18th
Farley, Iowa: Officials of SPI (Simmons Promotions) of Farley, Iowa have released the format structure of the 27th annual running of the “Yankee Dirt Track Classic” to be held at the Farley Speedway ˝ mile dirt track located on the west edge of Farley, Iowa. The annual fall race will be held September 15th thru the 18th.
Six classes of race cars will be in competition with the Saturday night finale featuring 4 classes. The Wednesday, September 15th program will kick things off with the Farley Flyers and B-Modifieds running their heats and consolations. In addition open practice will be held for all other divisions. Thursday, September 16th will include last chance races and features for the Farley Flyers and B-Modifieds plus heats and consolations for the Hobby Stocks and Pro Stocks.
Friday, September 17th the Modifieds and Bud Open Late Models will take center stage. The Bud Late Models will run qualifying time trials, heats and consolations. The Modifieds will run heats and consolations.
The 27th annual “Yankee” will come to a close on Saturday, September 18th with last chance races and features in the Hobby Stock, Pro Stock, Modified and Bud Open Late Model divisions. The final race of the night will be the 100 lap Bud Shootout “Yankee” which will award the Late Model winner $15,000.
