Dubuque Speedway Falls To Wet Conditions
Racing action slated for June 2nd at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds
has been cancelled due to wet grounds. Persistent rains have left the officials
of Simmons Promotions with no other option than to cancel the NASCAR Weekly
Racing Series program presented by Dodge.
The 50’s night promotion sponsored by East Dubuque Savings Bank and Drew Cook
and Sons Excavating will be rescheduled for Sunday, June 9th. A
cruiser car show will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. plus special prizes will be
awarded for 50’s attire and an Elvis look alike contest will be held. In
addition June 9th will be the NASCAR Modified double dip night
meaning the Modified drivers will be competing for twice their normal purse
money.
Hot laps will get underway at 6 p.m. with racing slated for 6:30 p.m.
