Dubuque Speedway Falls to Wet Weather Conditions
Mother Nature continued to cause problems for the Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway
on Sunday, May 12th. Due to day long rains Saturday and lingering
drizzle on Sunday morning the officials of Simmons Promotions are again forced
to cancel the Sunday night NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge. The
cancellation marked the third scheduled racing program to fall to wet weather
conditions in four nights.
Racing will be set to resume at the Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway on Sunday, May
18th with hot laps at 6 p.m. to be followed with the first green flag
at 6:30p.m. Racing will feature five divisions of cars in action on the high
banked 3/8 mile dirt track.
