Simmons Promotions Inc will once again issue a “Declaration of Independence Against Crate Motors” with the Second Annual Aftermarket Nationals” at the Farley (IA) Speedway on July 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd.   This year’s edition will once again utilize the IMCA Modified and Sport Modified division rules with the exception of NO CRATE MOTORS while doling out more than $50,000 in prize money. 

Last year’s inaugural event saw New Franken Wisconsin’s Shawn Kilgore throttle his Demon Racing Engines powered Modified to the 50 lap main event victory, pocketing more than $10,000 plus contingencies.   Brandon Wilson, Andy Eckrich, Richie Gustin and Jordan Grabouski rounded out the top five in the 26 car starting field.   Eric Pollard used Merfeld Brothers Automotive power to claim the 30 lap Sport Mod feature ahead of Aaron Benson, Paul Nagle, Mark Massey and Dan Mohr.  

Sponsors returning for this colossal modified extravaganza include Comp Cams, Comp Performance Group, Manley, Callies Performance Products, Carrillo Rods, CP Pistons and Driven Racing Oil.   National racing magazine Dick Berggren’s Speedway Illustrated will once again award the Modified winning engine builder a free one year advertising package. 

Action begins Tuesday July 1^st with practice night on the 3/8 mile clay track with qualifying slated for Wednesday July 2^nd and last chance races along with the 50 lap Modified and 25 lap Sport Modified feature on Thursday July 3^rd.    Pre Entries will be accepted from now until June 27^th for only $100 in the modifieds and $50 for the Sport Mods, entries will be accepted up until race time on July 2^nd but will be an additional $50 in each division.

The Farley Speedway is located at 27317 Olde Farley Road in Farley Iowa and features onsite camping hookups and a ballroom with a  full service bar that will host a post race party with live music each night.   There will be a free trade show for all parts manufacturer and engine builders in the Palace Ballroom on Thursday July 3^rd.
