Boley Scores NASCAR Late Model Win At Farley Speedway

Farley, Iowa: The NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series racing on Friday night was sponsored by Tri State Auto Auction who provided all feature winners with a bonus plus nice trophies. The high banked ½ mile dirt track provided multiple grooves on Friday night making for an action packed night of racing.

Curt Martin and Steve Boley raced several laps wheel to wheel in the early stages of the Iowa Illinois Taylor Insulation NASCAR Late Model feature before Boley was able take command. While Boley worked out front several drivers were battling behind him . Darren Mish ran second to Boley for several laps actually getting inside of Boley to lead for short periods of time. Jeff Aikey advanced from his fifth row start to contend late in the race but settled for second to Boley just ahead of Mish. Josh McGowan and Todd Davis rounded out the top five.

Ron Barker advanced from his sixth row start to overtake early leader Steve Stewart on his way to another Quarter Master Modified feature win. Barker took command on lap number 3 and went on to lead the remainder of the 20 lap feature race. Dan Bohr turned in a strong run taking second ahead of Sean Rupp and Korey Burmeister.

The NASCAR Pro Stock feature took the green with Jeff Reinert holding the point until Bobby Moyer was able to move out front on lap number 6. Moyer led until Gary Crawford was able to move into the lead on lap number 12. Crawford went on to score the win over a hard charging Ty Kleiner. Moyer took third at the stripe ahead of John Maher and Reinert.

B.J. Schmitt was able to overtake leader Mike Hughes in the NASCAR Hobby Stock feature on lap number 8 of the 10 lap main event. Schmitt then held on to take the checkers ahead of Hughes by less than a car length. Randy Benn took third ahead of Ed McIntyre.
