$500 Bonus to the Highest finishing
UMP Challenge Of Champions to Invade Davenport Speedway April 9 Farley, Iowa: Simmons Promotions of Farley, Iowa will host the first of three spectacular nights of racing at the big ˝ mile Davenport Speedway on Friday, April 9th. The UMP Challenge of Champions will bring together Late Model dirt track drivers from several states to battle it out for 30 laps in the evenings headliner. In addition to stars of the Late Model division, the Modifieds will also be in action.
The UMP Challenge of Champions is expected to bring accomplished Late Model competitors such as Ed Dixon, Shannon Babb, Kevin Weaver, Don O’Neal and many more drivers from Illinois and surrounding states. These traveling stars are expected to be challenged by Eastern Iowa’s top guns like, Denny Eckrich, Steve Boley, Matt Furman, Jeff Aikey, Ray Guss Jr., and many more. SPI has posted a special bonus to the highest finishing 2004 NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series Late Model member competitor. A $500 bonus will be paid to that driver. Action will get underway on the 9th of April with hot laps slated for 6:30 p.m. with racing action to follow. The Davenport Speedway is located on the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds on West Locust Street in Davenport, Iowa.
SPI will promote racing events at the Davenport Speedway on July 3rd when a special night of open wheeled racing featuring the IRA Sprints and Badger Midgets come to town. On August 10th SPI will bring the very best Late Model drivers in the country to the Davenport Speedway when the “World of Outlaw” Late Model Series will be in action. |
