SPI Set To Host 4 Day Budweiser Open Late Model Shootout Swing, July 4-7
The Budweiser Open Late Model
Shootouts are set to return to Eastern Iowa and the four dirt tracks promoted by
Simmons Promotions of Farley, Iowa. The popular series will feature the
Midwest’s finest Late Model driver’s in competition for over $100,000 in prize
money over the four day period. Each night events will be headlined by 50 lap
feature events which will award $6,000 to the winner. Iowa Illinois Taylor
Insulation will be the presenting sponsor at all four events.
The four day swing will get underway
on the 4th of July with racing to be held on the big ½ mile dirt
track, Davenport Speedway, located on the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds on West
Locust Street in Davenport, Iowa. The Budweiser Open Late Models will be joined
by the Modifieds in Davenport. Hot laps will get underway at 6 p.m. with racing
to follow at 6:30 p.m.
Friday, July 5th the
action will shift to the Farley Speedway located just off of US Highway 20 on
the west edge of Farley, Iowa. Hot laps will take the green at 7 p.m. on the big
high banked ½ mile dirt track. The Budweiser Late Models will be the headliner
of the program with all regular divisions in action.
Saturday, July 6th the
West Liberty Raceway will play host to the Budweiser Open Late Model Shootout.
The West Liberty Raceway is located on the Muscatine County Fairgrounds in West
Liberty, Iowa. The semi-banked ½ mile clay track will include all regular
divisions in addition to the Bud Late Models, hot laps will get underway at 6:30
p.m.
The four day swing will conclude at
the Dubuque County Fairgrounds Speedway located just off of Highway 20 on the
west edge of Dubuque on the Fairgrounds. The high banked 3/8 mile clay track
will host all classes in addition to the high powered Budweiser Open Late
Models. Action will take to the track at 6 p.m. with the first race slated for
6:30 p.m.
