SPI To Promote Racing Events At Grant County Speedway Lancaster, WI

Farley, Iowa: The officials of Simmons Promotions Inc. of Farley, Iowa have announced that an agreement has been reached to have SPI operate the Grant County Speedway located on the Fairgrounds in Lancaster, Wisconsin for the remainder of the 2004 season. SPI currently owns and operates the Farley Speedway located in Farley, Iowa and operates the Dubuque County Fairgrounds located on the Fairgrounds on the west edge of Dubuque, Iowa. SPI, regarded as the premier racing promotions organization in the Tri-State area will run 5 events at the Grant County Speedway to conclude the 2004 season.

Keith Simmons, owner of SPI stated, “ we will be promoting five races at Lancaster and we are looking forward to working with the fans and drivers that are currently supporting the Grant County Speedway plus we are anticipating that several of our drivers that support us at Farley and Dubuque will come up and race with us.” The race dates that will be run are July 24^th and 31^st, August 14^th and 25^th and September 4^th. The races will all be run under a draw and redraw format and the classes featured in the first four events will be Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Hobby Stocks, Limited Stocks, Mod 4’s, and 4 Cylinders (Farley Flyers).

Saturday, September 4^th the IRA winged Outlaw Sprint cars will return to the Grant County Speedway and will be accompanied by all regular divisions with the exception of Late Models.
