West Liberty Races Cancelled for Saturday, July 27th
The combination of 2 and 1/2 inches of rain and vandalism has left the SPI
officials with no other choice than to cancel the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series
Program at the West Liberty Raceway on Saturday, July 27th. Joe
Hayes, SPI Marketing director stated “ the rain has left us in a big mess and we
would have a rough track, but in addition vandals hit the Fairgrounds and have
caused extensive damage to the infield concession stands and have caused great
damage to the sound system.”
Racing will be set to resume at the West Liberty Raceway on Saturday, August 3rd
at 7 p.m. with a full program of racing featuring all four NASCAR classes.
