New Winners Boley, Benn win on a Steamy Night at Dubuque Speedway
June 26, 2005
Another night of Hot Weather and Hot racing action greeted the fans of the Dubuque County Fairgrounds.

Steve Boley made the trip to Dubuque pay of for the West Liberty hot-shoe. Boley grabbed the lead early on in the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series Late Model Division over Mark Curwen of Hazel Green, WI. Ronnie Barker of Dubuque jumped to the front and the three of them would wage a fierce battle until late in the race when Boley was able to break free and take the Checkers. Barker settled for second with Jeremiah Hurst, Mark Curwen, and Gary Crawford rounding out the top 5.

Ronnie Barker returned back to victory lane in a hard fought Modified win. Barker held onto the lead after challenges from Jason Schueller. Schueller looked for the lead before a caution came out and reset the field. After the caution, Barker was able to continue his lead and go on to win. Scott Nesteby was able to get by Schueller for second, Schueller third, Sean Rupp fourth, and Steve Johnson ended up fifth.

17 year old Levi Benn has been knocking on the door of Victory Lane in the Pro Stock Division at the Dubuque Speedway for the last couple years and Sunday Night, the soon-to-be Senior at Dyersville Beckman, took the lead early and would not be denied. Benn, who started off in the Farley Flyer 4 Cyl. division at the age of 14 held off a determined Jeff Valentine and Jim Brokus to win the 15 lap feature. Justin Mitchell worked his way from the back to finish 4th and Sam Harroun takes fifth.

Luke Goedert take a close win in the Stock Car division by beating Points Leader Racin Jason Rauen to the finish line by a fender. Tom Turpin, Jon Gobrecht, and Kelly Welter round out the top 5.

B-Mod points leader Jed Freiburger snags another feature win at the Dubuque Fairgrounds over BJ Schmitt and Justin Seegmiller. Becky Roth holds off Roger WInkers for the Limited Stock win. Willy Campbell takes the Farley Flyer 4 Cyl win over Rookie Sensation Dustin Wilwert and Points Leader Joe "Zinger" Zrostlik.
