Farley Speedway Set To Host 10K To Win Modified Event
Farley, Iowa: The Farley Speedway is set to host one of the country’s most prestigious Modified Racing Events with the running of the 4th annual “Aftermarket Nationals”. The event will be held Thursday, June 30th and Friday, July 1st. This special event will bring Modified drivers from several states to vie for the $10,000 first place prize money. 2 big days of racing will be presented at Keith Simmons 3/8 mile Farley Speedway dirt track. Simmons stated “ thanks to a long list of engine component and engine product suppliers, we are able to boost the purse for our declaration against the crate engine for the Modifieds.” The 2016 “Aftermarket Nationals” will be highlighted by the Modified Championship 50 lap feature paying $10,000 to win and $500 to start. In addition, new for 2016 the Engine Builders Challenge and the Manufactures Challenge will each pay $1,000 to win and will feature those who did not qualify for the Championship feature.
The Sportmods will also run both days with their Championship feature on Friday night paying $2,000 to win.
Wednesday, June 29th an open practice session will be held in preparation for qualifying night Thursday, June 30th. The Championship races will be held on Friday, July1st. Start times will be 6:30 each night.
The Farley Speedway is located on the Southwest side of Farley, Iowa, to gain access to the Speedway, US Highway 20 at exit 300 and travel ½ mile west on Olde Farley Road. The Farley Speedway offers camping with electrical hookups and showers, also the Palace Ballroom has set down seating for meals and a full bar.
