Divisions

IMCA Late Models
The epitome of full-bodied stock car racing, IMCA Late Models feature many of IMCA’s top drivers competing weekly at premier racing facilities. In a division that has seen engine costs and open tire rules drive many racers straight to the grandstands, spec engines and tires are IMCA’s solution to affordable weekly Late Model racing. The IMCA Late Models are increasing in popularity because of the simple economics of the spec engine and tire rule. IMCA Late Models will race Fridays in Farley, Saturday in West Liberty and Sunday's in Dubuque, all 3 tracks will be sanctioned.

IMCA SportMod
IMCA Northern SportMod division gives new competitors the chance to experiment with modified racing at the lowest possible cost, while still experiencing the rush that only IMCA racing can provide. IMCA Northern SportMods will be sanctioned at all 3 SPI tracks including Farley Speedway, West Liberty Raceway, and Dubuque Speedway.

IMCA Modified
Since exploding onto the racing scene in 1979, the IMCA Modifieds have become the calling card of IMCA, thrilling legions of new race fans every year. These high-flying, open-wheel stock cars push the limits of power and excitement on short tracks from coast to coast. Racing in front of millions of spectators each year, IMCA Modifieds have gained a reputation for fierce competitiveness that is as unique as the car itself. IMCA Modifieds are sanctioned at all SPI tracks and  will race at Farley Speedway, West Liberty Raceway and Dubuque Speedway.

IMCA Hobby Stock
IMCA also features an entry-level division of full-sized cars, the IMCA Hobby Stocks. This division gives new competitors the chance to experiment with the sport at the lowest possible cost, while still experiencing the rush that only IMCA racing can provide. IMCA Hobby Stocks will race Fridays at Farley Speedway, where they will be sanctioned.

IMCA Stock Cars
Long known as “The Class Too Tough To Tame,” IMCA Stock Cars are synonymous with side-to-side and fender-to-fender excitement. IMCA Stock Cars will run at all 3 of SPI's tracks, Farely Speedway, West Liberty Raceway and Dubuque Speedway and will be sanctioned at all three tracks

INEX Legends
It was in April of 1992 that the first Legends Car was unveiled at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The concept of creating a fun and affordable "spec" class of racing for anyone to participate in was born. Legend Cars are 5/8-scale fiberglass full-fendered versions of the famed NASCAR modifieds driven by legendary drivers such as Fireball Roberts, Buck Baker, Curtis Turner, Speedy Thompson and Banjo Matthews.

Since that time, the Legends Cars have become one of the fastest growing segments of motorsports today. With drivers being classified into four different divisions, Legends Cars is THE racing opportunity that is available to anyone! The Pro Division is for the experienced drivers. The Masters Division features drivers 40 years and older. The Semi-Pro Division is the novice class, featuring the drivers that are new to the sport or have been inactive in other forms of racing for a while. Then there is the Young Lions Division which is designated for the drivers between the ages of 12 and 16. Since the car stays the same from division to division, it is the driver that makes the difference!

IMCA Sport Compacts
The IMCA Sport Compacts are not race cars, they are 4-cylinder cars that race. The division is intended for the most entry level-minded dirt track racers, so it's perfect for teenagers looking to start their dirt track racing careers. The IMCA Sport Compacts are sanctioned at the West Liberty Raceway on Saturday nights for the season.

Open Late Models
Open Late Models are the premier division of stock car racing. Touring series that visit SPI tracks are the Midwest Late Model Racing Association and the DIRTcar UMP Late Model Summer Series.

2 Man Cruisers
2 Man cruisers will run selected nights at the Farley Speedway.

Enduro 4 cyl FWD cars
Enduro cars are a 4 cylinder front wheel drive car taken right off the street with a few modifications made to ensure safety. The enduros , which are run at the Farley Speedway, are 200 laps or 2 hours in length with no stops unless a serious incident occurs.
