Posted on June 15, 2014 at 08:33:27 pm
Nick Marolf of nearby Moscow continued his recent hot streak by winning the I-Wireless IMCA Late Model Feature on Saturday night at the West Liberty Raceway. Marolf also won on Friday night at the Farley Speedway. Marolf was able to move into the race lead on lap number 9 and went on to record the win in the 25 lap feature event. Rob Moss came on strong in the latter half of the race to take second ahead of Kyle Hinrichs.
The Performance Concepts IMCA Modifieds continue to provide excellent racing with the very best drivers in the Modified class in competition every Saturday night. Local hot shoe Kurt Kile came from a mid-pack start and worked to the front and broke away from a three car battle for the lead on lap 15 of the 20 lap race to score the win. Veteran Bruce Hanford took second ahead of Cayden Carter.
David Brandies padded his point lead in the Kile Motorsports IMCA Stock Car class with another feature win on Saturday night. The Stock Cars provided the fans with plenty of excitement in their 15 lap main event. Damon Murty ran second to Brandies.
The Weikert Iron & Metal IMCA Sportmods main event saw young Brayton Carter score his fourth win of 2014 at the West Liberty Raceway. Carter finished ahead of Tony Olson and Dustin Crear.
First time visitor in the US 6 Bodyworks IMCA Sport Compact class, Adam Gates topped the large class of drivers in scoring the 10 lap feature win. Gates took the win ahead of Bob Lake and Bill Whalen.
Racing will continue at the West Liberty Raceway on Saturday, June 21st with hot laps taking the green at 6:30 pm with racing to follow.
