SPI Announces Change in Schedule Posted on March 24, 2015 at 12:29:46 am
Due to scheduling changes by the All Star Circuit of Champions, Simmons Promotions Inc has announced that the July 29th event at the West Liberty Raceway has been changed to a Lucas Oil ASCS National Series race on the half mile dirt track located on the Muscatine County Fairgrounds. In addition to the ASCS race in West Liberty, Simmons Promotions will be assisting with the Sprint Invaders first ever appearance at the Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway the next night, July 30th as part of the 53rd Annual Dubuque County Fair.
The Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series is the largest sprint car sanctioning body in the United States. Founded by Emmet Hahn in 1992, the ASCS National Series has seen over 1,343 drivers compete at over 130 different race tracks across the country. 2014 series champion Jason Johnson rallied from 5th place in the points standings with two weeks left to claim his 5th championship ahead of Jeff Swindell, Brad Loyet and Johnny Herrera. The West Liberty Raceway is a unique flat half mile located on the Muscatine Iowa County Fairgrounds, 8 miles south of Interstate 80 at exit 259.
