SIMMONS PROMOTIONS KICKS OFF THEIR 12TH YEAR

Keith Simmons and Simmons Promotions kicks off their 12th year of dirt
track racing with a full slate of events at the Farley Speedway, West
Liberty Raceway and Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway’s in Eastern Iowa.

Saturday March 31st will see the first green flag of the year as the
IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series invades the Farley Speedway bringing
the finest late model drivers together to battle for the $2000 top
prize. 

Modifieds will take the spotlight on Saturday April 14th with both
Open and IMCA Modifieds trading paint in separate features each paying
the winner $1000. IMCA Late Models will return to the flat half
mile the next weekend on April 21st when the IMCA Deery Brothers
Summer Series drivers take center stage before travelling north to the
Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway lid lifter on April 22nd.

Weekly IMCA racing kicks off on the final weekend of April at all
three venues, Farley on Friday April 27th, West Liberty Saturday April
28th will be the Spring Championship for all divisions featuring $1000 to win IMCA Late Model feature.

The Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway season opener will be Sunday April 29th.
Other highlights of the 2012 season include the Memorial Day and
Labor Day Late Model specials at the Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway,
each which will be concluded with the infamous Fan Appreciation Party
in the beer garden. Returning for the 12th season will be Legends
Night at the Farley Speedway on Friday June 29th where fans get to
participate in a meet and greet bench racing session with some of the
drivers from the last 50 years in Eastern Iowa racing before the
Nostalgia Racing League and Midwest Jalopies pilot their vintage
racecars during intermission. Tornado Tuesday’s return to the West
Liberty Raceway for a July 10th IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series
event and August 7th for the $10,000 to win Open Late Model Shootout.
Sunday July 15th will also feature the IMCA Deery Brothers Summer
Series second appearance of the year at the Dubuque Fairgrounds
Speedway.

The 35th Annual Yankee Dirt Track Classic will take place from Wedensday
September 12th thru Sunday September 16th featuring IMCA Deery Brothers
Summer Series Late Models having complete feature events on both
Friday September 14th and Saturday September 15th. INEX Legends Cars,
IMCA Sport Compacts, Open Modifieds, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Hobby Stocks
and SPI Stock Cars will also be on the card. The event will conclude
on Sunday September 16th with the third annual Diehard 200 Enduro on
the 3/8’s mile oval. The SPI Enduro series will also be in
competition on Sunday April 15th with the EggDuro 200, Sunday August
5th for the FunDuro 200, the second Annual $10000 to win Gobbler 200
on November 11th and the Hangover 200 on Sunday Jan 6th, 2013.

Wrapping up 2012 will be two more events, the Annual Liberty 100 on
October 5th and 6th on West Liberty Raceway’s flat half mile and the
2nd Annual Little Guy Nationals on Farley Speedway’s 3/8th mile
highbanks on Saturday October 13th.
